LaborBrief links outward only to the public agencies and primary legal publications needed to verify a number or rule.

Occupational employment and wage figures come from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics national and state XLSX files for May 2025. The national file supplies employment, hourly and annual means, medians, and percentiles. The state file supplies employment, jobs per 1,000, location quotient, annual mean, annual median, and hourly mean.

State wage-floor and premium-pay summaries come from the DOL State Minimum Wage Laws page updated July 1, 2026. State labor department names and URLs come from the DOL state labor-office contact table. LaborBrief follows those links for the public agency responsible for current state detail.

Unemployment eligibility shorthand, weekly amounts, earnings disregards, and potential weeks come from the DOL Employment and Training Administration report Significant Provisions of State Unemployment Insurance Laws effective January 2026. It is a point-in-time reference, excludes some special extensions, and directs readers to state agencies for claims.

Worker-rights articles cite DOL Wage and Hour Division guidance and regulations, EEOC statutes and guidance, OSHA and State Plan material, NLRB rights and the NLRA, and other federal sources such as eCFR. State pages do not publish a legal field solely from a secondary summary.
